VOLUNTEERING
Interested in Becoming a Race Day Volunteer?
Why volunteer?
Volunteering at the Mill Cities Relay can be a great way to meet new people, learn more about the race, and experience a road relay. It's a great opportunity for members who are new to a club and want to check out the race before running it themselves or for experienced runners who would like to give back to the running community by volunteering at a race.
Roles
Different clubs have different responsibilities along the course. Some example volunteer roles include:
Directing cars in and out of parking lots
Stopping traffic for running to cross road
Handing out water at water stop
Calling out team numbers at exchange
Sweeping the course to ensure all running have finished the run
