VOLUNTEERING

Interested in Becoming a Race Day Volunteer?
Why volunteer?

Volunteering at the Mill Cities Relay can be a great way to meet new people, learn more about the race, and experience a road relay. It's a great opportunity for members who are new to a club and want to check out the race before running it themselves or for experienced runners who would like to give back to the running community by volunteering at a race.

Roles

Different clubs have different responsibilities along the course. Some example volunteer roles include:

  • Directing cars in and out of parking lots

  • Stopping traffic for running to cross road

  • Handing out water at water stop

  • Calling out team numbers at exchange

  • Sweeping the course to ensure all running have finished the run
